# Planning Statement Re-rendering

Re-rendering and Painting 10-17 Cronkbourne Village
for Braddan Parish Commissioners

Job No. 45.1227

### Planning Statement

The lime sand render is showing considerable distress in extensive crazing and crackling and was the subject of a report by McGarrigle + Jackson which concluded that the render was inappropriate in this instance. Lim sand render is normally the correct material for renovation projects of this nature, but it was established that the render had been applied over a thick layer of sand cement render pointing which had been retained as there had been serious concerns regarding the structural integrity of the stone walls if this had been removed. The present proposals are to replace the render with an enhanced sand and cement render with a microporous masonry paint, the colour to be as existing. The texture and colour of the finished render will be as existing.
