### Officer’s Report

The application seeks approval for the conversion of part of an existing ground floor apartment into reception area and treatment rooms, and to create a new spa in the basement of a property located on Mooragh Promenade in Ramsey.

The lower floors of the property are converted into a gym and approval was recently granted through 02/02333/B for the conversion of the basement into additional gymnasium space. I consider that this

application is relatively modest and has little in terms of adding to the impact of the existing use. Accordingly, I recommend that the application be approved.

C 1. The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.

C 2. This approval relates to drawing no.s GE1015/1, GE1015/2, GE1015/3 and the location plan date stamped the 20th September 2004.

C 3. The use and operation of the facilities hereby approved are restricted to between 09:00 and 21:00 in any one day.

N 4. The applicant is advised to consult with the Fire Safety Department with regards to the provision of adequate fire precautions.

N 5. For a change in the water supply to a premises (domestic or commercial) the applicant should contact the Isle of Man Water Authority Byelaws Inspector (Les Quayle), telephone 695957.
