## Officer’s Report

The property is a two storey semi-detached property on the relatively new Heritage Homes estate off Main Road, Kirk Michael.

It is proposed to erect a single storey side extension to form a new kitchen and study. This would remove the available parking space behind the building line but there will still be parking on the driveway.

The Commissioners judged that the extension would be too close to the neighbour.

It is the Committee's practice to allow the removal of parking spaces behind the building line as long as there are two parking spaces left on the driveway. In this case no part of the garden would need to be altered to hardstanding to achieve this.

The extension itself is modest and acceptable. The loss of one of the car spaces is also acceptable in this case.
