Planning Report and Recommendations General Report Site Visited ☐ YES ☐ NO This application seeks to replace painted timber casement windows (side wings) with arc casement windows of like design. The property is an old lim and retains opening sizes that would suggest that siding (sash) windows would be more appropriate. The originals, certainly to the top floor, probably didn't have any weights and pulley being held open instead of a length of stick. Whilst this is conjectural, it is based on observations of properties of the same age on the island with these windows in place. Currently the windows policy doesn't distinguish between the materials used in the windows but our suggestion would be for painted timber timber (sash) would give the Summary of objections / views The frame sections necessary. 40% around assistance could be made available for the correct window Recommendations for front. Recommended refusal - windows should be siding, sash format too road and side elevation - painted timber would be preferred. Read OK - away from road Signed Date 18/8/04
