# Officer General Report

Planning Report and Recommendations General Report Site Visited YES/NO 1. The site comprises the curtilage of the Gas buildings on South Quay, at the foot of the Head Road. 2. The application proposes that part of the ground floor of "Murdoch House" should be used as a showroom rather than offices. No external changes are proposed. Parking spaces (4) for customers are identified. 3. The principal issues are, I suggest, (a) the location outside of the main retail area of the town; and (b) customer parking. 4. Assit. DoT response. Signed Date 7.7.04 Summary of objections/views LA - no objection HA - Defer (23/6). See below. Recommendations Approve/Refuse DoT now comment "no adverse traffic impacts" (rec'd 2/9). In my view, there is not evidence to demonstrate that this retail use could not continue satisfactorily in the T.C. shopping area. Signed Date 6/9/04 [Table omitted in markdown export]
