### Officer's Report

The application seeks permission for alterations and extensions to provide an additional floor to a detached dwelling in Bride.

The dwelling is currently single-storey and planning approval in principle was granted through PA 03 / 00885 / A for alterations to provide an additional floor to the dwelling.

Whilst this current application is for full approval and not reserved matters I am satisfied that the conditions previously imposed by PA 03/00885/A have been met. The increase in height is no greater than 1.5 metres, the extension is of a similar manner to that of the existing and a suitable structural survey has been submitted. The design of the proposed extension was discussed with the applicant's architect prior to submission and I consider that the design is appropriate for the location. Accordingly, I recommend that the application be approved.
