# Officer Planning Report

## Application No: 04 0192 ### Planning Report and Recommendations #### General Report **Site Visited:** YES/NO 1. The site comprises the curbside of Ballakenneen High School. 2. The application proposes the erection of a single-storey workshop between the Science/Technology block and the boundary. 3. The principal issues are: - (a) Incremental over-derit of the Ballakenneen site: see penultimate paragraph of the covering letter; - (b) Impact on the rear of the houses on Westminster Drive: there is a hedge, but also a drop in ground level; the garages intervene; - (c) Disabled people: there is a signed, named access. **Signing:** Signed #### Summary of objections/views - HA and LA - no objections - DAO - should be usable by Wheelchair #### Recommendations **Approve/Refuse** Given that the need arises from: - (a) Compliance with HIS requirements; and - (b) Facilitating refurbishment of the Science block; I suggest that this should be permitted; the impact on the housing would not be unreasonable. **Signed:** [Signature] **Date:** 2/2/14 [Table omitted in markdown export]
