Note 2: Rights of review against the decision are attached. ## Reasons For Refusal Application Ref No: 04/00335/B 1. The proposed windows would be contrary to Policy 6 of Planning Circular 1/98 'The Alteration and replacement of windows' which states "If the original windows are in place they should preferably be repaired. If repair is impracticable, replacement windows which would be readily visible from a public thoroughfare must have the same opening method as the originals. Whatever the material used in their construction, the windows must have the same pattern and section of glazing bars and the same frame sections as the original windows." The windows as proposed would have an adverse impact on the appearance of the dwelling and the character and appearance of the Peel Conservation Area as a whole. 2.
