The site lies on the south western side of the Laxey River and accommodates the former power station building which has recently been the subject of an unsuccessful application for replacement windows (PA 03/1047). Previous applications include PA 88/0642 - repositioning of offices within building approved and PA 96/1699 - change of use from light industrial to film studio. No mention is made of the studio referred to in the application unless it is the film studio. Proposed is the use of the building as "warehouse". No further information is given although as the applicant is Planet Isle of Man, this may be of window and conservatory components.
