Dear Miss Callow,

03/00528/B: Alterations to access and farm driveway, Arragon Moor, Church Road, Santon.

The Board's comments on the above application are noted below:

It would appear that work has been in progress for some time now on the proposed new access road off Old Castletown Road near the bridge.

The Commissioners wish to reiterate the concern shown when the proposal was first mooted. At that time we were advised by the DAFF of the applicant's wish to fill many large trees as part of the project and a very strong protest was lodged (8th Aug. 2002). It would be a very serious matter if trees were harmed as a result of the proposed works.

A second point queries the speed of traffic descending the hill towards the proposed entrance and any associated safety concerns. Access already exists from Church Road to the east. Yours sincerely,

Howard Benson
Clerk to the Commissioners.

Received Time 2 Jul. 16:37
