# Officer Planning Report

## Application No: J 0542 ### Planning Report and Recommendations #### General Report **Site Visited:** YES/NO 1. The site comprises the curvilinear or mid-terradial house on the Laurentian Terrace, i.e., Ballaguay, Road, which is a Principal Traffic Route. 2. Proposed is change of use from a hairdressing salon to a flat at ground floor level. No external changes. 3. The flat would be of sufficient floor area, would be self-contained, would have front and rear access, and would have a front outlook. 4. The parking demand would be less than (but different to) that of the established use. I will enquire whether additional parking space would be termed. **Date:** 9.7.03 #### Summary of objections/views - LA - no objections - HA - defer for further consideration (new objections/parking); rec'd 10/7) #### Recommendations **Approve/Rehave** See response from the applicant (dated 14/7). In these circumstances, and having regard to the modest increase in parking demand, I suggest approval. Planning was in terms of the creation of a res. unit and the removal of the existing use. **Signed:** [Signature] **Date:** 22.7.03 [Table omitted in markdown export]
