The Members of Rushen Parish Commissioners have considered the following planning applications and their views are:-

a) **09/0830. Lhingague, Surby Moar, Surby, Mr A Clucas.** New Granny 'Flat' attached to rear of existing bungalow (2 storey extension).
No objections.

b) **09/0840. Field 410617, Cronk v Dhooney, Ballakilpheric. Mr D A Kelly, Rose Cottage.** Erection of wooden shed for storage of lawn mowers, tools, motorcycles.
No objections.

c) **09/0895. Lamode Farm, Ballakillowey. Ms A Kissack and Mr P Gawne.** Extension to house - 'traditional heavy timer frame extension to provide additional bedroom and living space. Timber clad straw bale wall on a Manx stone dwarf wall - clad in untreated timber boards which will weather to silver/grey colour. Slate roof to match existing house.
No objections.

d) **09/0902. Rushen Primary School, Church Road. Department of Education.** New pedestrian access from Castletown Road.
No objections.

e) **09/0956. The Shanty, Ballakilpheric Road. Mrs A Brown.** Remove current porch and replace; new GRP flat roof; door and window.
No objections.

f) **09/0984. Ballavayre Farm, Ballakilpheric. HIntock Ltd.** Amendment to existing approval- remove existing render and replace with smooth render.
No objections.

g) 09/0995. Ballaman, Ballnahowe, Cheeseden Investments Ltd. Removal of existing upper and lower entrance gates and walls and construction of new entrance gates and walls.

Whilst this is an improvement on the existing entrances Members feel that they seem out of character and inappropriate on this narrow country lane.

h) 09/0986. Mull House, Bay Mount. This property is no longer within the boundary of the Parish of Rushen. It was taken into Port Erin District in 2001 as part of a Boundary Extension. I have checked with Port Erin Commissioners and they have received a copy of these plans. My Commissioners feel that, as the property is not in their area then they should not make and comments.
