## Department Of Infrastructure ### Memorandum To: Jennifer Chance, Development Control Manager From: Ian Brooks, Planning Officer Subject: Compliance with Condition 3 of 09/01058/B - Erection of a detached dwelling, Land adjoining a detached dwelling, Sutton Oak, Lower Dukes Road, Douglas. Date: To consider the submission of details in accordance with conditions 3 of Planning Permission 09/01058/B. Condition 3 stated: "Prior to the commencement of the works, samples of the facing and roofing materials to be used shall have been submitted to and approved in writing by the planning authority and these works shall be carried out in accordance with the approved samples." The applicant has submitted a Marley Acme Single Camber Clay Plain Tile Red Smooth. The approved plans stated that a red tiled roof will be constructed. The sample accords with the approved plans and would be acceptable in appearance terms, as well. In terms of the facing brick, the approved plans indicate that a "Rustic brown face bricks" will be used. The applicant has indicated verbally the facing bricks are an Ibstock Burntwood Rustic. The sample accords with the approved plans and would be acceptable in appearance terms, as well. ### Recommendation I therefore recommend the samples be approved.
