Dear Marie,

The Commissioners wish to submit their views on the following planning applications:

- **09/00502/B** Mr Geoffrey Wood Tower View Ballure Road Ramsey – Creation of field access field 131452 Sulby Glen Sulby IOM. **Approved unanimous** – suggest that gate is placed further up the road towards Old Sulby Crossroads to improve visibility.

- **09/00504/B** Mr F Sweeney Lady Hill, Sallins, County Kildare, Ireland – Residential layout for four buildings – land adjacent to Ginger Hall Hotel, Ballamanagh Road, Sulby. **Refused unanimous** – Request further details on the drainage of this site.

- **09/00559/B** Mrs L Gale Rustlings Glen Auldyn Lezayre Erection of Summer House. **Approved unanimous**

- **09/00657/R** – Ms L Thomspon Mr V Williamson – Allandale Farm, Ballamanagh Road Sulby – Change of use of portakabin from storage to ancillary living accommodation – Land to the rear of Allandale Farm, Ballamanagh Road, Sulby. Arthur Radcliffe declared an interest. **Refused Majority** – **recent** application for additional accommodation refused. The Commissioners see this as a means to get round the system.

- **09/00660/B** – Mr and Mrs I Harland Loughan e Yeigh The Garey Lezayre – Creation of vehicular access field 975 adjacent to Loughan e Yeigh Garey Lezayre. **Approved majority**

- **09/00670/B** – Mr E Fitzpatrick The Bungalow Clenagh Road, Sulby – erection of conservatory to rear elevation. **Approved unanimous**

09/00680B - Mr C Dodd 148 Kineton Green Road, Olton Solihull, West Midlands- Erection of conservatory Fo Cronk, Sulby Glen Road, Sulby. In principal the Commissioners have not objection to this application, but would ask, does the potential buyer have agricultural status.

09/00688/B Mr R Morris Ardwallin House, West Baldwin, Braddan - Erection of replacement dwelling Kafue Cottage St Judes Road, Sulby. Refused unanimous - The proposed dwelling is a modern individual building, and is not in keeping with the surrounding properties. The proposed dwelling is not on the existing site and not using existing materials. The size of the new dwelling is against housing policy 14

09/00695/B Mr C Brown Killingan Beg Churchtown Lezayre - Installation of replacement windows to front elevation. Approved unanimous

09/00708/R Heritage Homes Douglas - Erection of two dwellings - Site adjacent to Cronk Mayn and Cronkmayn Beg, Jurby Road, Lezayre. Refused Majority - The proposed properties are on "green belt" land between parishes. We would ask you to refer to a "Report of the Chairman of the Public Enquiry" - Document of Ramsey Boundary Extension - His Honour A C Luft. Page 18 Clause 13.6

09/00722/R Mr Cowin Creation of 68 allotment plots with associated sheds and polytunnels, field 134249 Garey Road, Lezayre. Agree in principle however the plan does not show a designated parking area, for which change of use is required. The entrance to the field needs to be increased to give better visibility splays when leaving the field. The Garey Road is quite busy, and vehicles tend to speed along as it has no speed restriction. Currently the site looks like a gypsy site with various caravans and trailers, and the Commissioners would request that a condition be added to make sure that these are all removed from the site.

09/00405/B Mr Griffin Erection of agricultural Building Field 134484 Ballacaley Road - Letter of explanation received from Mr Griffin. Refused unanimous The Commissioners considered the letter of explanation from Mr Griffin, but are not convinced from the evidence given, that a shed of this size is warranted.

Yours Sincerely

Vivien Quane
Chairman
Lezayre Parish Commissioners
