In pursuance of his powers under the above Act and Order, the Minister for Infrastructure, does hereby **REFUSE** planning application 12/00296/B by Mr Ian J Morrow **for** Erection of a garden room extension with link at Riverside Barn, King Edward Road, Onchan, IM4 6AB for the following reason(s):

1. The proposal is contrary to Housing Policy 11 as defined by the Isle of Man Strategic Plan 2007 in that the proposed extension would, if permitted, be detrimental to the rural character and amenity of the countryside by reason of its scale and massing.
