### Officer's Report

### The Site

The application site relates to Ballaquayle School, Stoney Road, Douglas. The school is single storey and sited to the South side of Stoney Road.

### The Proposal

Proposed is the removal of the existing uPVC panel and install new double glazed doors and frame in the North elevation. The doors would be white uPVC to match the existing.

### Planning History

The following previous planning application is considered specifically material in the assessment of the current application:

PA 09/01360/B Installation of a new external door The above application was permitted

### Development Plan Policies

The application site is within an area zoned as "Primary School" identified on the Douglas Local Plan 1998.

## Consultations

Highways Division has not commented Douglas Corporation have not commented

### Assessment

It is considered that the proposed development would not adversely affect the visual amenities of the locality, and would not be harmful to the appearance of the building.

For these reasons the application is considered acceptable and is recommended for approval.

### Party Status

The local authority is, by virtue of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2005, paragraph 6 (5) (c) and (d), considered an "interested person" and as such should be afforded party status.

The Department of Transport Highways and Traffic Division is now part of the Department of Infrastructure of which the planning authority is part. As such, the Highways and Traffic Division cannot be afforded party status in this instance.
