Please find below the Commissioners' decisions in relation to planning applications considered by them at their meeting on the 23rd March 2010.

The Commissioners had no objection to the following Planning Applications:

- PA10 00173 - Mr Graham Warwick - Construction of pitched roof over existing garage - Cronkbourne House
- PA10 00174 CON - Pitched roof over existing garage - Cronkbourne House Cronkbourne
- PA10 00183 B - J Kaneen Ltd - Alterations to shop/sales area - Union Mills Garage Main Road Union Mills
- PA10 00193 B - Mr and Mrs Boardman - Alterations and extensions to dwelling - 42 Hollin Bank Braddan
- PA10 00221 - Mr and Mrs A Williamson - Erection of new garden room extension and replacement windows - Burnside Main Road Union Mills
- PA10 00264 - Julie Hurst - Creation of a vehicular access - Hampton Court Quines Hill Port Soderick. It was suggested that if the new access was created to provide better visibility, the existing access should be closed off.
- PA10 00266 - Julie Hurst - Change of use of east wing of existing dwelling - Hampton Court Quines Hill Port Soderick
- PA10 00297 - Heritage Homes Ltd - Extension of dwelling to provide sunroom & garage - 19 Ballacottier Meadow, Braddan
- PA10 00327 - Mr David Newton - Erection of double garage with storage space above - 163 Fairways Drive, Mount Murray, Braddan

Further consideration was given to the following application following a late objection from a neighbour:

- PA09 02093 B - Mr S Collins - Erection of an agricultural building to provide a lambing shed - Upper Ballacubbon Richmond Hill Braddan. They observed that the plan showed a line of trees that would have obscured the building from the residence, but pictures of the site show that this is not the case and unlikely to be so for the foreseeable future.

However the structure was intended to be over 20 meters away from the property and they felt that a planning inspector would consider that to be sufficient.

Whilst this was a large building that would impose over the property, they recognised that the main outlook for the objectors' property was out forward over the valley. They could not identify a breach of any planning rules, but wondered in a spirit of co-operation, if the applicant would consider offsetting the large building either closer to their own residence or more favourably in the adjacent field.
