## 5 Baldrine Park

### Proposed Development

Permission is sought for the removal of a collapsing sod wall at the eastern boundary of 5 Baldrine Park which is unsightly, difficult to maintain and affords no privacy or security to the landowner. The term 'sod wall' is used loosely to describe the existing boundary, which is a mound of building rubble which has over time become covered with vegetation. The vegetation includes aggressive weeds which have impeded grass growth on the residential lawn to the west.

The sod wall is to be replaced with a fence of equivalent height constructed of modern materials, which will be in-keeping with the surrounding properties.

Fresh turf is to be laid on the highway side of the fence to improve the appearance compared with the current sod wall.

There are no services within the vicinity to be affected by the proposed works, having consulted with interested parties.

### Construction Detail

The fence is to be constructed from reinforced concrete posts set at 6 ft centres. Each post measures $125 \mathrm{~mm} \times 100 \mathrm{~mm}$.

The fence panels are to be constructed from UPVC composite grey panels to a total height of 1350 mm , of which the bottom 150 mm will be a concrete gravel board.

A gate is to be reinstated in the centre of the plot of the same dimension of the existing gate, and using the same UPVC material as the fence panels.

Turf is to be laid on the highway side of the fence consistent with neighbouring properties.
