Contract name; installation of concrete pad stones and hardwood bridge.

Address; Mullinaragher House, the sloping rd, santon.

Work method.; Excavate and remove all ground where needed for pad stones sufficiently far from the waters edge to avoid the risk of breaching once dug out.

Then prepare pre fabricated aluminium scaffolding to stretch over span to island in 3m sections, with the mid section supported on two standard scaffold feet that will be placed on an adequate waterproof footing such that the bottom of the pond is not disturbed.

The scaffold bridge will include all the necessary safety rails, this will minimize disruption to the base of the pond and enable safe access for operatives.

Once complete we will install shuttering for abutments with adequate visqueen barrier to prevent any leakage from the shuttering once concrete is poured. Prior to pouring we will use a none toxic dye to identify and rectify any leakage into the pond water which we will leave in overnight.

We will be using a concrete pump to install pad stones and the concrete will be c20 grade.

Once concrete is cured, we will install the bridge which will be in three pre-fabricated sections this method of manufacture and installation will minimise time spent over or in the water significantly. Once complete the scaffold bridge will be simply disassembled and removed by the scaffolders in a similar way to installation which will cause little if not any disruption to the bed of the pond.

Finally the area will be clean and tidy and clear of debris to the highest standard.

Labour; The scaffolding will be installed by reg approved installers, concrete and pump will be subcontracted out, there will be a banksman on site at all times to oversee any machine operatives, then 4 groundworkers which are staff from island landscape.

Kindest Regards.

Daniel Christian
