28th January 2019 REF - METHOD STATEMENT FOR PROPOSED MASONRY WORKS. Dear Sir / Madam,

Proposed works are to create a new gateway/opening/aperture, which will ultimately be gated, to the rear garden wall, at Castle House, The Parade, Castletown. This wall is constructed of local limestone, in a rubble manner. We propose to create the aperture by careful dismantling by hand, along two vertical lines in the masonry where previous doorways and apertures have existed, thus creating quite tidy lines. There are quoins in this dismantled section, which will be reused, so there will be quoins on both sides of new aperture. These will continue up above the height of existing wall by approximately 0.40m, to create a pillar effect. Capping to be confirmed. Mortars for these proposed works to be natural hydraulic lime and coarse sand.

Yours sincerely

Mr David Kinley
