# Onchan AFC Additional Information

### Additional Information

The fields on BlackBerry Lane are designated open space for the purposes of playing fields, sport and recreation, which are used throughout the year. Field numbers 534017 / 534018

The Ariel photographs and plans give a good reference to the glen on the west side and south side.

On the west side we have no trees on our site and the trees in the glen are 50 metres from the pitches/works.

From the south side of the glen the trees are 20 metres from any pitches/works, the natural hedge in the middle of the site is now to be retained and we have had a consultation on site with the Forrester from DEFA and he is more than happy about the new works.

Ref: club house we can confirm that this is a new plan for the club house and not an extension to the old plan.

## Additional information for this application on Blackberry Lane, Onchan

The fields on BlackBerry Lane are designated open space for the purposes of playing fields, sport and recreation, which are used throughout the year. Field numbers 534017 / 534018

The application is seeking permission to increase the size of the club house and provide two pitches, although not formally laid out they have been used for over 2 years for training and games.

Onchan A F C have decided after seeking advice that it would be advantageous to have 2 pitches; this will not require any removal of the natural hedges or trees therefore providing the club with a more economic plan to push the project forward.

After consultation with the English FA and the Isle of Man FA, the Onchan AFC are returning to planning for permission to increase the size of club house which already has planning permission. We have been advised by government bodies that the club house should have more accommodation for match officials, different genders and a bigger social area and welfare facility.

The club have consulted with the English FA and Isle of Man F A and they have endorsed our plan, this will comply with the latest standards that have to be achieved by all clubs.

Our neighbour is Douglas High School Old Boys and we have their full support for this application. There are no other neighbours in the vicinity.
