# Oak Frame Construction Statement

## Oak Frame Construction

The main frame of the new building will be constructed in green oak which is obtained from a sustainable source. The following literature and preliminary sketch views have been prepared by Oakwrights Ltd.

The oak frame will be manufactured off-site where the assembly of the parts will be checked prior to being brought to the site. The frame will then be craned into position and assembled on previously prepared foundations. Oakwrights also provide prefabricated insulated wall, floor and roof panels ensuring that the construction time, and therefore potential disruption, is kept to a minimum.

The oak frame construction is a cost effective solution, that provides a thermally efficient and environmentally friendly building. It also meets the requirement to provide a tranquil environment and a design aesthetic that compliments the Cathedral and its heritage.
