# Method Statement

The existing cladding does not provide sufficient protection and insulation requirements. So I propose to remove cladding leaving extra 9mm ply intact. I will secure 50mm pressure treated battons to timber studs using 100mm stainless steel screws. at 500mm intervals horizontally, suitable insulation ie "extra them" at 50mm thick will be laid between battons, over this a water proof membrane will be installed. I will next apply a 12mm sheet of exterior grade ply covered with metal lathing, then one coat of scratch sand and cement finished with a final coat of sand and cement render smooth float finish.

The existing rustic brickwork is showing signs of joint deterioration. I propose to apply two coats of render (one scratch coat, one float finish). Suitable waterproof will be used in the sand & cement. The building will then be painted with a suitable exterior quality paint.
