### Proposal

The proposal comprises the external refurbishment of the windows to the existing stair tower of the grandstand and its associated entrances at lower level.

The present windows are in poor repair and are not energy efficient, only being single glazed. They have reached the end of their design life, requiring replacement.

It is intended that these elements be replaced with more energy efficient double glazed curtain walling in white pvc coated aluminium with an anti sun blue tint to the glazing. These materials match the existing replacements to the control tower.

As part of the works it is intended that the poor quality pvc lobby is replaced with an entrance that is more appropriate. It is proposed that it consist of simple frameless glazing to a feature brick wall of Flemish bond. The brick will be a smooth red brick to match the existing. Projecting heads of bricks with splayed faces will provide relief and shadow on the wall. This is replicated on the opposite side, where the existing ramps into the building are removed and replaced with a compliant ramp. These simple additions will have a positive visual impact on the building, highlighting the entrances.
