### Mannin Hotel Broadway Douglas
### Objectives
A. Maintain architectural value of existing building that is within a conservation area B. Create a new four star Hotel to the modern demands of today’s Tourism industry and commerce requirements C. Achieve has much practical car parking within the basement area in conjunction with an acceptable entrance and traffic management system
### Brief Construction Notes
A. The retention of the front elevation to Broadway is achieved with the introduction of one third of the steel/concrete frame
B. Install column foundations to basement and Tower Crane base
Remove pockets through existing roof and floors down to basement
Introduce vertical steel columns with Tower Crane to certain floor beams to be bolted to columns to provide support and retention system for front elevation using high speed diamond water drilling method followed by installation of steel mandrills chemically fixed in the stone elevation
C. Following the retention of front elevation a controlled demolition of the remaining building is then completed followed by ground and concrete works
The remaining steel work is then erected followed by concrete suspended floors
The rest of the building works is of a conventional nature
