# Planning Refusal Notice

## Town and Country Planning Act 1999

## Town and Country (Development Procedure) Order 2005

Miss Myrtle Quine
62 Ormly Road
Ramsey
Isle of Man

In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Order the PLANNING COMMITTEE of the Department of Infrastructure does hereby REFUSE the following application made on behalf of:

**Name:** Miss Myrtle Quine
**Proposal:** Approval in principle for the erection of a detached dwelling
at:
Former Ayre Mowers Site
Bride Road
Bride
Isle of Man

which was considered on 7th July 2011, for the reasons set out below.

**Date of Issue:** 8th July 2011

Murray House
Mount Havelock
Douglas

Mrs P Faragher
Deputy Secretary to the
Planning Committee

### Reason(S) For Refusal:

1. The application site is not zoned for development and is within an area of High Landscape Value or Coastal Value and Scenic Significance. Therefore the proposal is contrary to both adopted general planning policy within the Isle of Man Strategic Plan and The Isle of Man Development Plan, which seek to restrict such development in the countryside. Approval of the planning application would result in unwarranted residential development in the countryside.

This decision was made by the Planning Committee constituted in accordance with Article 3(1) of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2005.
