10 January 2008

Dear Marie

The Commissioners wish to submit their views on the following planning applications:-

PA07/02263/B Mr & Mr Hayward, Fern Ne Cregga, Glen Auldyn. Alterations and erection of extensions. Refused – Unanimous. The Commissioners feel that this application is an overdevelopment of the plot. They are concerned that this property has never blended in at all and further development would make it way out of proportion.

PA07/02301/R Mr Oates, Meadowbank, Kerrowmoar, Sulby. Retrospective Planning Approval for Retention of extensions to shed. Agreed – Unanimous. Although the Commissioners have agreed to this application they feel that they must point out that they do not agree with the principle of retrospective planning applications.

PA07/02302/B Mrs Lynette Byrne, Loughen E Yeigh Farm, Bayr Ny Hayrey, Bernahara Road. Alterations to windows. Agreed – Unanimous.

PA07/02304/B Mrs Lynette Byrne, Loughen E Yeigh Farm, Bayr Ny Hayrey, Bernahara Road. Erection of a conservatory. Refused – Unanimous. The Commissioners are of the opinion that this conservatory looks more like a greenhouse and is not in keeping with the surroundings.

On the following application which is due for response today:-

PA07/02268/B Mrs D F Hampton, Field 134117, St Judes Road, Sulby. Erection of stables.

One of the Commissioners declared an interest and did not take part in the discussion. Without the Quorum needed the Commissioners have no choice but to

take this application forward to the next meeting which is on Monday 14 January 2008. Therefore I would be grateful if you could please allow an extension on this application until 15 January 2008. If there are any problems with this then can you please let me know.

Yours Sincerely

Mrs Ros Cringle
Clerk to the Commissioners
