# Delegated Extension Consideration 2010

## Item For Delegated Consideration TO: Jennifer Chance, Senior Planning Officer FROM: Anthony Holmes, Planning Officer DATE: 16th August 2010 Re: PA 06/01202/B – Amendments to approved 03/00470/B to include changing facing stonework to staircase enclosure to curtain walling and approval of reserved matters set out in condition 4 of 03/00470/B. The Tuck Mill, Slegaby and Ballacottier, Clypse, Onchan. The Senior Planning Officer is asked to consider a request to extend the date of expiry of the above approved planning application. The planning approval is currently due to expire on the 25th September 2010. Under article 13 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2005 the Department has the power to extend the duration of a planning approval. In this instance, the applicant's agent has advised that work has not commenced due to unexpected infrastructure costs and current financial conditions. I can see no reason why not to extend the planning approval, as planning policy and circumstances have not materially changed since the planning approval was granted. The applicant has asked for a minimum time of extension of one year, in order to avoid a repeat request I recommend that that an extension of two years is granted. Signed Dated Mr A Holmes Planning Officer Miss J Chance Senior Planning Officer m. m. canley Director
