## Planning Report And Recommendations [Table omitted in markdown export] [Table omitted in markdown export] [Table omitted in markdown export] ### Considerations ### Written Representations ### Consultations

### Officer's Report

THE APPLICATION SITE AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT The application site comprises of the curtilage of a shop located within Parliament Street in Ramsey. The proposed development comprises of the installation of new shop front. PLANNING HISTORY I am not aware of any previous planning applications that could be considered relevant to the assessment of the planning application. REPRESENTATIONS Ramsey Town Commissioners have no objections to the proposal. The Department of Transport Highways Division consider there to be no adverse traffic impacts. PLANNING POLICY

The application site is located within the recognised town centre under the Ramsey Local Plan. There are no policies within the Ramsey Local Plan that I consider to be specifically relevant to the assessment of the planning application.

Planning Circular 7/89 sets out the Department's general policy in relation to shop fronts.

### Assessment

I consider the proposed development to be relatively minor and to be without unacceptably detrimental impact. The proposal accords with Planning Circular 7/89 and is primarily related to the provision of better disable access. I believe that the proposed development should be supported and recommend that the planning application be approved.

### Party Status

I consider that all parties who made representations to the planning application meet the criteria of Government Circular 1/06 and should be afforded interested party status.

### Recommendation

Recommended Decision: Permitted

Date of Recommendation: 31.03.2006
