Upon reflection, an observation was made that the submitted amended plan shows just the addition of a 1st storey window. However, the extension is reviewed to be an unsuitable looking addition to what is an attractive Manx cottage.

The proposed extension appears to be an over-development to a single storey farm workers' cottage and is considered not to be in proportion to the original living accommodation. In addition, consideration needs to be given to its surroundings, as it is viewed that the development will be very noticeable in the landscape when viewed from other parts of Michael and it is thought that this will have a detrimental impact on the scenic value and unspoilt character of the area.
