### Officer's Report

The site represents the domestic curtilage of an existing, relatively new house, in Milner Close to the north of the Castletown Road as one heads east out of Port Erin towards Four Roads. The site is within an area designated as Predominantly Residential use on the Port Erin Plan adopted by Tynwald in 1990.

Proposed here is the installation of a dormer window and rooflight in the single storey annex alongside the house together with the conversion of the existing garage to a lounge. The space above the new garage would be used as a dressing room serving the upper floor bedroom alongside.

Whilst the applicant's agent states that there will be retained four car parking spaces within the site, there is no site plan so this is not apparent. Defer for such a plan.

Plan now received - 11th July, 2005.

There are no objections to the proposal and it is not unacceptable.

C 1. The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.

C 2. This permission relates to the re-roofing of the garage roof, installation of roof light therein and the conversion of the garage to living accommodation, all as shown in drawing reference 32.1.05 received on 18th May, 2005 and the site plan received on 11th July, 2005.

N 1. The Chief Fire Officer recommends the installation of mains wired interconnected domestic smoke detection.
