### Officer's Report

The application seeks approval for alterations and extensions to a semi-detached dwelling situated within a residential estate in Ramsey. The proposal essentially represents amendments to a previously approved planning application, 02/01741/B, which is partially under construction. I understand that these changes are sought following a change of ownership. The amendments from the previous approval comprise of the enclosure of the car port by infilling two arched openings and the addition of a garage door, the creation of a new entrance on the front elevation and the addition of two windows in the northern elevation.

The neighbouring property has objected to the planning application on the grounds of impact on light, view and privacy. They have also commented on the previous application as they were not aware of its submission. There are no other objections to the planning application.

Having visited the site I am content that the alterations are relatively minor and, similarly to the original approved development, do not detrimentally affect the neighbouring property. There is no increase the actual size of the development due to this amendment and I would suggest that the level of light enjoyed will not be sufficiently different, that there is no right to a view and that the windows do not sufficiently affect privacy. Accordingly, I recommend that the planning application be approved.
