### Officer's Report

The site represents the curtilage of Rushen Church located between Four Roads, Rushen Primary School and the Pony Fields and on the northern side of Barracks Road. The site accommodates the church, the vicarage and the Old Vicarage.

Proposed here is the installation of a container to the north west of the church itself, against the hedge in the grounds, for the storage of equipment needed in the maintenance of the church grounds.

Whilst not an attractive structure, it is certainly necessary and will be next to an existing storage shed which is not particularly attractive but partially screened, as would this be, by existing trees planted in the grounds. The container will be painted green which will help and the applicant has offered to plant hedging to increase the screening.
