### Officer's Report

This application relates to a semi detached house in Little Switzerland, Douglas. It is a registered building (RB 143) and is located within the Douglas (Little Switzerland) Conservation Area.

The proposal is to remove some existing pvc roofing sheets over the log shed in the existing yard and replace with Rosemary roof tiles to match the new roof on the house.

The shed is to the front of the house and is totally enclosed within a small yard and therefore not visible from the road. The Conservation Officer considers that the proposal is quite acceptable providing the tiles match those currently being put on the main roof and are of clay, the same dimensions, colour and finish and are set to the same gauge as the main roof.

The proposal will be in keeping with the style of the registered Building, and will not have an unacceptable impact providing it is carried out in the same style as the existing roof. It is not visible outside of the yard of the house and therefore will not have any impact on the conservation area.

C 3. This approval relates to plan and photographs received on 15.10.04.
