### Officer's Report

The application seeks approval for the erection of two holiday cottages within the curtilage of Glebe Farm in Kirk Michael.

The application site, which is bounded by existing mature trees, is within an area of predominantly residential use under the Kirk Michael Local Plan. Following a site visit I consider that the site is sufficiently sized to accommodate the proposed development and that its use for tourist accommodation is capable with the adjacent farm use. Accordingly, I consider that the proposal is acceptable and recommend that the application be approved.
