Re: Planning Appn. No. 04/00199/B
Installation of a fuel tank and dispensing unit on Alfred Pier Breakwater, The Quay. Port St. Mary

With reference to the above application, I would object on the following grounds:-

1. A tank of this type should be buried under ground
2. It would be extremely vulnerable in this position as can be verified by the recent storm damage on Alfred Pier
3. I consider the whole scheme to be a major environmental risk due to the problem of fuel leakage and pollution due to the inexperience and possible negligence of the fuel operations by members of the fishing fleet.
