The site is defined as the "footprint" of 14 Mount Havelock Number 15 (or possibly part thereof) is "blue-lined".

Within the Conservation Area. The application seeks approval for the installation of replacement windows. The new windows would be PVC-framed tilting casements having a central transom and no subsidiary bars.

The existing windows on the top three levels are wooden-framed sliding sashes. The building is prominent and handsome.

- 1 . The applicant is advised to consult the Department's Conservation Officer to discuss the availability of grant assistance towards the cost of refurbishment or, if this is not practical, appropriate replacement.

The building is prominent, handsome, and within a Conservation Area; the installation of PVC-framed casement windows in place of the existing wooden-framed sliding sashes would reduce the interest and attraction of the building, and would fail to preserve or enhance the appearance and character of the Conservation Area.
