## Department Of Local Government And The Environment ### Memorandum TO: | Director of Planning and Building Control | | :-- | | FROM: Miss Sarah Corlett, Planning Officer | REF: PA 03/0897 - erection of a three storey dwelling with integral garage to replace existing boathouse/garage, Shore House, Shore Road, Port Erin DATE: May, 2007 ### Extension Of Time The above application was permitted on 20th October, 2003 subject, inter alia to a condition which requires that the development is commenced within four years of the date of the notice. The applicant has not yet commenced the development and I am advised by Building Control that an application for approval under the Building Regulations has not yet been submitted. The applicant is now seeking an extension of time to permit the development to be started. The delay has in part been caused by changes in the applicant's personal circumstances. There have been no changes in policy since the approval was granted. Planning permission has been granted for the re-development of the shelter site alongside the application site, for the erection of two dwellings and these are almost complete. The dwelling closest to this application site has a canopied door on the side of the property. The 03 application dwelling has a blank two storey gable facing this and as such there will be no adverse impact on either property once both are completed. I would recommend that further two years are granted for the applicant to commence the development.
