## Application No: 30147 Page 1 of ### Planning Report and Recommendations #### General Report **Site Visited:** YES/NO The proposal is for the erection of a replacement dwelling on a site approximately 3/4 of a mile north of Jurby Airfield. Directions have been held with the applicant prior to the submission of this application and a replacement dwelling has been previously approved, PA97/1434, on the site. The application site is currently occupied by a substantial pre-fabricated building, believed to have originally been a radio station for the former Jurby Airbase, which is approximately one and a half storeys in height. Following de-communicating the building become a building. The proposed dwelling is positioned in the location of the existing building and essentially traditional in form. The site is recently located and bounded by significant tree cover that should help to screen the new dwelling. Although pre-fabricated the existing building is substantial and the replacement dwelling is proposed, the applicant's level of extension over the original. The proposal is acceptable. **Signed:** A.
