# Design Justification Statement

Applicants design is in keeping with local man's style, while allowing as much use of natural light as a year of property away from public view. Existing footprint has been used to make use of present tree cover and more planning is proposed. (Young planning already in place) Due to existing tree cover the rear protrusion of the house will have little impact. Length of proposed house shorter at four elevations than present property. Unofficially approached closest neighbours (each approx. 3/4 mile from house size) and had positive reaction to plans. Photographs enclosed of similar properties in the area. Present house stands in own grounds of 5 acres. Extra bedrooms needed over and above those required by 2 adults, 2 children to allow for social and extended family overnight stays due to our remote location. Building skyline already high due to substantial brick chimney.
