### Business Statement Relating to the use of Hangar 244, Jurby Industrial Estate.

Our business is long established (1907) with its main operations at the above address. As the business expanded it became apparent that additional storage space was required and the decision was taken in 2010 to purchase Hangar 244 on Jurby Industrial Estate and the acquisition was completed in early 2011. It had been previously used by the Government as the Grain Intervention Store. The Hangar is now used to store products which are then either taken to the Ramsey Premises to replenish stock or alternatively delivered direct to the customers. In the latter instance we would tend to take heavy, bulky items, such as fertilser which is delivered in 1000 kg bags, for delivery to the customer's farm. The premises are not open to the public and it is used on an irregular basis when the need arises to replenish stock or to fulfill an order. At the most two staff would be on the premises at any one time which would be the maximum that we could spare from a staff of 5 .

The site is accessed, when necessary, during the normal working week between $8-30 \mathrm{am}$ and $4-30 \mathrm{pm}$. The maximum time that the premises would be used is 4 hours to receive a major delivery of coal or fertiliser. We store coal, firewood, seeds, fertilisers, fencing materials, gates, empty fuel containers for farm use, foodstuffs for domestic and wild animals and other agricultural products. As you may imagine the volume of each product varies with the time of year. During the late summer we purchase a substantial quantity of coal for the winter, in the spring purchase fertiliser and seeds etc.

The smaller items are held at our Ramsey premises where they can be purchased by the customer and taken away by them.

W.E Teare, Director
