# Highways Comments Multiple Applications

The Department of Infrastructure Highways Division has the following comments on these applications:

PA 11/01061/C The drawings do not show the visibility that is available at the existing access, this was requested during pre-planning discussion. Car parking should be provided for each unit at 1 space per 15 sqm of GFA.

PA 11/01073/B This application meets the relevant standards with regards to car parking provision. No adverse traffic impacts.

PA 11/01074/B The Driveways of plots 18, 19, 21 & 22 do not meet the required standard of 6m, therefore these plots do not provide 2 off street car parking spaces as required by the Strategic Plan. If these driveways are used to park cars then the cars are likely to overhang onto the public highway contrary to the interests of highway safety.

PA 11/01085/B This application meets the relevant standards with regards to car parking provision. No adverse traffic impacts.

PA 11/01100/B This application does not contain sufficient detail of the proposed car park spaces to establish adherence to current standards; there are no dimensions of the spaces and the plans are of insufficient scale to enable accurate measurements. There are no details of the proposed dropped kerbs. The applicant should provide details of both car park spaces and dropped kerbs for approval prior to construction. In general the proposal is acceptable and the relocation of the car park will provide an improvement in safety for pedestrians.

PA 11/01115/B No adverse traffic impact

PA 11/01134/B This application meets the relevant standards with regards to visibility. No adverse traffic impacts. A condition should be attached ensuring that the entrance is removed prior to the dwelling being occupied.

PA 11/01167/B The garage width is less than the Division's standard of 3m however there are 2 additional off road car parking spaces therefore the car parking standard set out in the Strategic Plan has been met. No adverse traffic impact.

PA 11/01168/B The loss of the garage space reduces the available parking for this dwelling to 1. This does not meet the standard of 2 spaces per dwelling as required by the Strategic Plan.

PA 11/01169/B The garage width is less than the Division's standard of 3m and is less likely to be used to park a car than the existing situation; however with the car port and the existing garage the parking standard of 2 spaces per dwelling is still being met.

PA 11/01170/B This application meets the relevant standards with regards to car parking provision. No adverse traffic impacts.

PA 11/01181/B No adverse traffic impact
