## Planning Statement

### Dwelling, Factory Lane, Peel For Mr. L. Morgan And Miss. H. Corrin.

The proposed dwelling is presently under construction.
This application is to remove approximately 2.8 m of low sandstone wall (partially demolished), which is in a poor state of repair and un-bonded to an existing higher wall, which was formerly part of the building.

The higher wall (formerly part of the building) is approximately 3 m high and 11.8 m long, is in poor condition as per the report and calculations prepared by Glasspool and Thaiss, their letter dated 10th September, 2009, the wall is cracked in a number of locations, has an un-bonded leading edge, partially finished with brickwork where there was a former building and has weeds growing in the top courses of stone.

The proposal is to reduce the length of the wall by approximately 1 m and reduce the height by removing the brick capping and further reducing the height, stepped as indicated terminating at approximately 1.5 m adjacent the dwelling house.

Upon completion of the work, any cracks and pockets will be filled and pointed with lime mortar and the wall top finished with red coloured flag stones to provide a waterproof cap.
