# Consultation 1 Peel Town Commissioners

From: Derek Sewell <derek.sewell@ptc.org.im> Sent: 13 December 2018 15:24 To: DEFA, Planning Subject: RE: Peel Town Commissioners Planning Application Consultation Responses

Dear Sirs,

Please find attached the Peel Town Commissioners response to the following older planning applications for record purposes. When these applications were considered by the Commissioners they do not object to the proposals contained within these applications subject to any conditions stipulated below:

a. 18/01128/B Play Area at Western Swimming Pool, Peel (Amended drawings)
b. 18/01076/B Replacement windows at Corrin Hall, St German Cathedral, Derby Road, Peel (Amended Drawings)
c. 18/01034/B Replacement windows at 2 Crown Street and 40 Castle Street, Peel (Amended Drawings)
d. 18/01223/B Proposed improvement to front elevation and amenity space at the Chocolate Box, 1 Douglas Street, Peel
e. 18/01161/B and 18/01162/B Proposed replacement extension at 28 Stanley Road, Peel
f. 18/01178/B and 18/01179/B Replacement single storey conservatory at 18 Castle Street, Peel
g. 18/01229/B Proposed fenced off storage area at QE II School, Douglas Road, Peel
h. 18/01239/B Replacement doors and windows at 20 Bridge Street, Peel
i. 18/01252/B Replacement windows and doors at 7 Church Street, Peel
j. 18/01270/B Replacement windows at 33 Market Street, Peel

The Commissioners objected to the following applications:

18/01200/B and 18/01201/B Replacement doors and windows at IOM Coastguards Station, corner of Crown Street and East Quay, Peel because traditional materials should be used for the window frames on this historic building which is situated in a highly visible prominent location.

18/01245/B and 18/01246/B Internal alterations including removal of a wall at the Department of Infrastructure Works Depot, Spit Corner, Peel because the modern construction of the storage unit was not in keeping with the conservation area and it will visually prominent to walkers on the busy Peel Hill walkways.

Should you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours faithfully

Derek Sewell

Town Clerk

Peel Town Commissioners</derek.sewell@ptc.org.im>
