TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1999 The Town and Country (Control of Advertisements) Regulations 2013

In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Order the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture determined to APPROVE an application by Ocean Waves Ltd, Ref 19/01104/D, for the Installation of a digital screen at 11 Castle Street Douglas Isle Of Man IM1 2EX and subject to compliance with the following condition(s) and notes (if any):

- 1. The advertisement(s) hereby granted consent shall be begun before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice. Reason: To avoid the accumulation of unimplemented advertisement consents.
- 2. The digital advertisement board hereby approved shall be switched off between the hours of 2am and 7am. Reason: In the interests of visual amenity and the appearance and character of the area.
- 3. The digital advertisement board hereby approved shall operate at a maximum intensity of illumination of 600cd/m2 during hours of daylight and 300cd/m2 during hours of darkness with illumination levels controlled by an ambient sensor. Reason: In the interests of visual amenity and the appearance and character of the area.

This approval relates to the Location Plan and drawing numbers JTM1928A-P-01 and JTM1928A-P-02 date stamped and received 1 October 2019. Date of Issue: 18th December 2019 Director of Planning and Building Control

This decision was made by the Planning Committee in accordance with the authority delegated to it.

Specifically, a valid appeal must be in writing, signed by the appellant, and submitted to the Department within 21 days of the date of this Notice. To further validate the appeal it must contain:

Payment of a planning appeal fee as prescribed in the current Fees Order; The reasons for making the appeal; and An election to have the appeal conducted by means of an inquiry (a hearing) or by means of written representation.

If no appeal is lodged within 21 days of the date of issue overleaf, and this decision becomes final, the Department’s public reference copy (counter copy) of the planning application may be collected by the applicant or their agent from Murray House.
