Date of Application:

Application Reference: 18/01214/C Location: 38 Ballanawin Strang Douglas Isle Of Man IM4 4NT Description: Additional use of residential property as a therapy treatment business Highway Comments: The application states:

- The business would operate 5 days a week excluding Sundays and a weekday
- The intention would be to have 2 to 3 clients visiting the premises per day up to 8pm
- There would be only 1 client at a time with a minimum of 45 minutes between clients
- The applicant would not employ any other staff
- The proposal would not change the existing site access and parking arrangements.

The existing driveway is 2.4m x 18m which could accommodate up to 3 large cars. The parking standards require 2 spaces for a dwelling. Provided appropriate planning conditions are imposed to control the operation of the business as outlined above, the site parking provision should be adequate as a client would be able to park behind the residents cars.

Highway Services does not oppose the application subject to planning conditions to control the operation of the business as described above.
