PLANNING STATEMENT Applicant: Mr N Joughin Address: 5, Falcon Cliff Terrace, Douglas, IM2 4AU Application: For the erection of a 4-bedroom end-terraced house, plus for a single-storey rear extension to the existing house. Amendment to Planning Approval 22/01293/B to reduce the width of the new house to 5.36m. Reason for the proposed amendment:

It has been found that the left side boundary garden wall is a structural retaining wall and therefore it would be costly to reduce the width and rebuild this wall.

Therefore, the owner of the site wishes to reduce the width of the new house by 500mm so that there is sufficient space between the new house wall and the existing garden boundary wall.

## Reason this is considered a minor amendment:

The appearance and design of the house will be unchanged, it will just be reduced in width by 500mm.
