### Caution: This email is from an external sender. Please take care before opening any attachments or following any links. Fwd: PA21/00481/CON Laxey Glen Road Wall demolition

This application is specifically for the demolition elements of PA20/01385/B with regard to the demolition of the wall and part of the railings and their replacement with a 6ft (1.8m) high wall Glen Road. I object to this application on the following grounds PA20/01385/B was approved subject to conditions with regard to submission of revised plans showing stone facing on the river side to river bed level along the frontage of that wall the length of the woollen mills and, voluntarily by the applicant the reconsideration of replacing the railings with a 6ft high wall. In accordance with the condition Department of Infrastructure submitted, by email dated 24 February 2021, revised Drawings 100A and 108A, showing the existing railings to remain and the new replacement wall proposed to be stone faced both on Glen Road side and the river side down to river bed level. This was approved by DEFA Planning on 16 March 2021. Contrary to the above approval, the current application PA21/00481/CON reverts to the original plan and shows the proposed replacement wall to both replace the railings and not to be stone faced on the river side. The yellow section on the location plan and the wall in the vicinity of Section C-C fronting the Woollen Mills therefore do not accord with the revised proposal approved under PA20/01385/B. There is no substantive case put forward as to why this change back to the original has now been proposed. Therefore I object to this current application as the proposal is out of keeping with Laxey's Conservation Area, a hazard to traffic and pedestrians and will destroy the visual enjoyment of the heart of Laxey, its River environment, for residents, visitors and users of its Heritage trail alike. Kind regards
