CONVERSION OF FORMER GUEST HOUSE TO CREATE FOUR APARTMENTS. 29 CASTLEMONA AVENUE DOUGLAS ISLE OF MAN IM2 4EA

The above planning application was placed before the Environmental Services Committee of Douglas Borough Council at its meeting held on the 14th November 2016.

I would advise that the Committee agreed that the Council should raise an objection to the application on the grounds that the proposal is considered to be contrary to General Policy 17 (a) and Transport Policy 7 of the Isle of Man Strategic Plan 2007, in that the proposed development, if approved, would unacceptably harm the amenity of the surrounding area by reason of adding to the existing kerbside congestion.
