The comment stated;

We note that the proposed doors are of a Victorian nature but the present doors - eclectic as they may be in their design - do at least tie in with the shop front design and should therefore be retained. Doors can be made more draught proof and there is no evidence of this having been investigated.

Alternatively the new joiner-made doors should be to the same design as those they are replacing to maintain compatibility with the windows, door frames etc.
